Where can I get parts for my Carrier equipment?

Although we can not provide individuals with over-the-counter parts, the specialists at Wade Heating & Cooling Inc. will gladly schedule a diagnostic appointment to examine your equipment. Upon completion we will provide you with a thorough explanation of our findings and provide you with our professional opinion as to the best course of action to optimize your home's heating and cooling capabilities.

Why can't I find the correct size furnace filter at my local home improvement store?

The filters shipped with newer furnaces are made from higher-quality materials than those of the filters found in retail stores. For that reason, replacement Carrier filters can only be purchased through your authorized dealer. Wade Heating and Cooling stocks an extensive line of filters. Our technicians can replace your filter at the time of your Priority Service Plan maintenance, you can stop by our office, located at 203 Hershinger Road, Moon Township, PA, to pick up your filter, or we can even have it shipped directly to your home. Under the standard factory warranty, Carrier covers parts that fail during the warranty period due to defects(A). The following is a schedule of the "standard" factory warranties. Note: Warranties will vary depending on models.
  • Heat Exchangers: 20 years to lifetime parts warranty
  • Secondary Heat Exchangers on 90%+ furnaces: 20 year labor warranty
  • Compressors: 5 to 10 years parts warranty
  • All other Carrier components: 5 year parts warranty
  • Associated components i.e.: external refrigeration piping, condensation pumps, wiring, ductwork, breakers, etc. carry a 1 year parts warranty(B).
    (B) If your system was purchased with Wade Heating and Cooling's "Platinum" warranty, the associated components carry a 10 year parts and labor warranty.
Wade Heating and Cooling covers labor costs, on equipment that we installed, for a minimum period of one year from the original installation date. Your system also may have included an extended warranty for up to 10 years parts and labor.
All warranties are specific to the model numbers, serial numbers and installation dates of your products.

Why is the SEER rating on the Energy Guide different than what my dealer quoted?

Each split system cooling unit has a nominal SEER rating. This rating can be increased with the upgrade of the indoor unit. The SEER rating of a system is derived based on the combination of equipment installed in the home. The outdoor equipment (heat pump or air conditioner), as well as the indoor equipment (evaporator coil and furnace, or air handler), play a vital role in the rating. What is the life expectancy of my unit?

Wade Heating and Cooling uses products that are among the longest lasting heating and cooling products available. There are many variables that can affect the life expectancy of your specific unit; the regularity of routine maintenance is a major factor. Contact Wade Heating and Cooling Inc. for insight into the remaining lifespan of your system.
